 Two million people lined the streets to watch the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. This was available as a Wentworth wooden jigsaw puzzle under Royal puzzles and was a top ten best seller. There is an eclectic mix of 80 boats in this work including the Gloriana, the Royal rowboat and the Spirit of Chartwell, the Queen's barge with the Royal Family seen waving to the crowds under the canopy. In the distance are the Dunkirk small boats and the MTB 102 torpedo boat used to rescue shot down spitfire pilots during WW2. Also taking part in the procession, and can be seen in this painting, are a contingent of boats carrying commonwealth flags, Sir Donald Campbells Boat (Bluebird), Fire Boat, RNLI lifeboat, Viking and dragon boats and a New Zealand Maori war canoe wearing traditional Maori feather cloaks.!

Ronald is an increasingly sought after Artist from Salford near Manchester!! He was educated at Art College where he studied photography and painting. With this background his knowledge in oil painting was further extended by attending a course at evening classes for a year. He then went on to become a photojournalist for a local newspaper. After this he decided to change the direction of his career and opened a small art gallery and framing shop. Throughout the years he has constantly been painting using a wide variety of mediums which includes oil, watercolour, pastels and gouache. He has no favourite subject matter and can turn his hands to landscapes, portraits or animals in his own unique style and over time he has won a variety of competitions.
