"Same Size" by Indre Vilke
Totally Stunning work!!
Indre Vilke is an increasingly sought after Artist from Lithuania!! She was educated at the John Cass Faculty of Art at Grand Metropolitan University in London where she studied Fine Arts. With this background her knowledge in oil painting was further extended by mentoring from Artist Michael Stubbs & Abstract Artist Andrea Medjesi-Jones!!!!! Indre Vilke paints in a unique way in a wide variety of mediums which includes oil, watercolour, pastels and gouache. She paints daily and a beautiful aspect to her work is that she immerses herself in her Art and never wants her paintings to end so she paints right up to the edges!!! Turner was famous for this with craftsmen often adding/stitching on more canvas as the paintings got larger and larger!! Indre's abstract works are powerful in the flesh and are motivated by her own cultural differences so she brings a touch of home to the Canvas !!!

Also the study of Printmaking, especially woodcuts from Lithuanian Folk Art from the last Century has been spotted as a continuous theme in Indre's Abstract pieces!! The clashes between colours do not disguise the forms but instead make them even more visually appealling! Indre has also adhered to neo-classicist Artist Jean-Auguste Dominique Ingres where he said that the most beautiful thing is Art is to have 2 similar colours juxta-positioned next to each other like in Schongauer's "The Holy Family"
