António Segurado was born in in a small city called Beja, in Alentejo (Portugal). At the age of 5, he discovered some paintings of Salvador Dalí, Picasso, and Van Gogh in an art book from a friend. It was the first time he admired art works. Later at the age of 13, he started to draw some abstract figures on his notebooks as a way to relax and it was an amazing feeling that he kept even in university, where he studied Aeronautical Engineering. Two years later, in 2006, he went to Lisbon to find a job and, in 2008, he started to paint as a hobby. He felt so good about it that he has continued painting ever since. Now António Segurado dedicates his full time to painting. He has a unique style as a mix of his favorite painters are Picasso, Basquiat, Keith Haring and Matisse. António Segurado sells his works in art markets all over Lisbon, and overseas in cities such as New York, Dubai, Los Angeles or Switzerland.
