Bathsheba  'Daughter of Sheba' or 'Daughter of the Oath' was an Israelite queen consort. According to the Hebrew Bible, she was the wife of Uriah the Hittite and later of David, with whom she had all of her five children. Her status as the mother of Solomon, who succeeded David as monarch, made her the Gebirahof the Kingdom of Israel. 

 

Bathsheba is best known for her appearance in the Book of Samuel, which recounts how she was summoned by David's royal messengers after he witnessed her bathing and lusted after her; David has Uriah killed and then marries Bathsheba, incurring the wrath of God, who strikes down the couple's first child in infancy before plunging the House of David into chaos and anguish!

Cristian Benea  (born November 14, 1983) He graduated from the Ion Vidu High School of Fine Arts, West University, Timișoara (2006), majoring in painting. Over this time Cristian has developed a distinct personal style at an intersection of figurative painting and emotional expressionism.

 

In 2010 Cristian Benea became a certified Church painter authorised by the Romani Patriarchate and has since created numerous large scale mural works in prestigious Cathedrals, Churches and Monastries across Europe.

 

Alongside his Religious Work he continues to develop a personal artistic discourse focused on the expression of human emotions and the relationship between the spiritual and the material.

 

He has exhibited internationally and his works are included in numerous private collections across the World!!
