RICHARD FREER
Richard studied Fine Art at the University of Herefordshire where he achieved his BA Hons and later gained an MA at De Montfort University. He has exhibited and been involved in group shows and solo shows in art galleries throughout the country. His work has been represented by some of the UK's best art galleries including Gallery One, Modern Artists Gallery, Comme Ca Art and Fractal Contemporary. He has also worked on numerous commissions for private clients and commercial companies, created artwork for book illustrations and had his artwork published. Richard has taught art for Milton Keynes College, Warwickshire County Council, Brooksby Melton College and Leicestershire County Council.
ARTISTS STATEMENT
I am a fine artist based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Since graduating in 1999 I have worked as a professional artist and have exhibited and sold work both privately and through a wide range of art Galleries and consultancies throughout the UK. I have exhibited in a large number of group and solo shows and my work has also been exhibited in various public and business venues. I have also been involved with artists groups and have been active in organizing and participating in open studio events and exhibitions. Throughout my career I have been commissioned to paint for both private and business customers including restaurants, interior design projects and customers homes. My work can be seen and bought through the art galleries and consultancies listed on this web site. Work can also be purchased directly through myself and commissions can be arranged. I have worked as an adult education tutor for a number of councils and colleges, as well as running after school art classes for children and parents. I am currently employed as a sessional art teacher.
