She also won first place in the spring competition 2016 of the “Deutsche Pastell Gesellschaft” (German Pastel Society, DPG) and a second place in DPG’s winter competition 2015. Martina is a Journeyer member of the Pastel Guild of Europe (PGE) and managing editor and member of the Deutsche Pastell Gesellschaft. Her artistic education by established artists at national and international art academies is complemented by constant self-education.

Light and structure are defining topics in German artist Martina Zingler’s work. She is mainly painting impressionist landscapes in pastel and oil, but she is also exploring the beauty and varieties of still life painting and sculpture. Beyond that, her more abstract art work combines both, the two- and three-dimensional world in a unique way of intuitive process painting, which leads to tension-filled, symbolic motives reminding of surreal landscapes, geological structures and fundamental botanic forms.

 

Born 1972 in Salzgitter in Lower Saxony, Martina has participated in many regional solo and group exhibitions.
