A Beautiful Full size ( 6 foot ) suit of Armour
of the style worn by English Knights at the battle of Crecy.The Battle
of Crecy was an important battle during the 100 years war.(1337 to
1453)Fought between England and France. The Battle of Crécy took place
on 26 August 1346, near Crécy, in northern France. The combination of
new weapons and tactics used have caused many historians to consider
this battle the beginning of the end of chivalry.Crécy was a battle in
which a much smaller English army of approximately 12,000 men,
commanded by Edward III of England and heavily outnumbered by Philip VI
of France's force of between 30,000 and 40,000, was victorious.Although
English Knights fought at Crecy most notably Edward III's son the BLACK
PRINCE ,the English won the battle due to their archers as they were to
do so famously 60 years later at Agincourt.
