"My process explores expansion of my own body through the flexible physicality of art. As I lose my self within the physical world I am creating a new space. Harnessing Abstract Expressionism my practise engages with freedom of movement and gesture. Each painting holds a voluptuous surface of oil paint evoking the physicality of flesh and depicts layers of the minds process at play. When I perform I explore my own practice and convey the connection between the work, idea and viewer. Like Ariadne's thread the spectator is taken on a journey of metaphors and scrumptious colours. Each piece holding the illusion of motion."
Measurements; 23 1/2 inches x 35 1/2 inches (60 cms x 90 cms)

"Through lust and fantasy I aim to manipulate the viewer into the voyeurs position. The body reacts to the touch of another, as does my work. Like a kiss to the back of the knee or a finger brushing up against the inside thigh. Each mark I make influences another. My body becomes the reactor between the surface and the medium. Evoking strokes, gestures and movement, responding to the pleasures of creating and leaving the mark left from the interaction between myself and the medium. In between revealing and concealing ones self my work aims to push away the boundaries of self-imposed rules. My work explores the spirit of self and material.Subconscious dimensions emerge into exploring physicality and echos the tactile body. While creating an organic symbioses between several viewpoints, with an area of deep interplay allowing the viewer to enter an emotional realm. The viewers visual reading becoming that similar to Ariadne's thread, as each symbol allows for a new connotation engaged through the senses."
