MIG 21 Jet Fighter Ejection Seat
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-21) Ejection Seat

The Mikoyan – Gurevih Mig 21 is a supersonic Jet fighter, designed by the Mikoyan – Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. It was introduced in 1959 serving Russian and Eastern European Air forces through until 1985. It has an extensive combat history operating in a number of combat theatres including the Vietnam War.
A nice feature with the Mig Ejection Seat is that each seat has the aircraft serial number for the aircraft it was installed for stamped on it. This unique number is on the top left of the seat pan allowing the seat to be matched to a specific aircraft. In the case of this Ejection Seat it was built in Russia in June 1973 and was fitted to the single seat Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21MF, 7702 which eventually flew with the Czechoslovak Air Force.
The photograph above shows the Mig 21 7702 in its Czech Air Force colours with the top of this actual seat clearly shown in the photograph.

The Ejection Seat has been professionally stripped down to the base metal and then carefully finished to a chrome effect. The design of this seat is outstanding with the rear (deactivated) firing system illustrating perfectly the high quality durable Russian engineering typical of Russian Aviation. Top quality leather is standard for the upholstery. The Ejection Seat is mounted on a base specifically designed and fitted to it. With its unique reference number this really is one of a kind.
