"Love Sweet Love" by Chris Bracey
Chris Bracey - Chris Bracey has been "the neon man" for more than 35 years. His fascination with lights is linked to his birth on Christmas Day, with his frequent use of light being used to explore religious iconography. About his early influences Chris says "Back in the late 1950's England was a monochrome black, white and mainly grey foggy landscape. In one house around the corner to where I lived, was a tree in the front garden that had Christmas lights and hand painted pictures of Cinderalla's Coach. I loved the amazing colour and fantasy of this expression. My mother used to kid me that this was for my birthday, I've never forgotten that feeling of joy seeing that tree, and still get the same feeling today when I first switch on a new piece of light art that I've created".
Chris Bracey has produced signs for top directors from Stanley Kubrick to Tim Burton. Neons by Chris have been featured in numerous films including, Batman with Jack Nicholson, the original Tomb Raider and Judge Dredd, while he has had creative collaborations with David LaChapelle, Alexander McQueen, Tate Modern and Martin Creed. Chris even collects and salvages iconic signs and neons from yesteryear before they are discarded and disappear forever. Repaired, elaborated and resurrected by Chris, these pieces become icons of their own.
The work comes with a Certificate of Provenance. A rare opportunity to invest in Art while transforming your living space at the same time!!!
